Create a roadmap and hand orders to delivery
A delivery roadmap groups selected orders for a transporter and provides a printable document for the handover.
Overview
A delivery roadmap groups selected orders for a transporter and provides a printable document for the handover.
Information, statuses and handoffs
The vendor supplies the merchant context and recipient information, while the company and its assigned operational teams process the shipment. Check the customer phone, address, product quantities and amounts before sending an order into operations. A correctly entered address does not replace the organizational and route assignment shown on the shipment.
Order views include validation, transit, hub handling, roadmap or pickup work, delivery, completion and return stages. Suspended, canceled and deleted views identify different exceptions. The status history matters: two orders with similar customer information may be separate shipments at different stages. Use the barcode as the primary reference when contacting another team or asking the assistant for an exact page.
In forward bag preparation, only orders in transit or in hub are eligible. Return bags accept the supported in-hub and return stages. The order must belong to the bag’s company, match any assigned destination agency, have no current bag and be held at the bag’s preparation location. If a parcel fails these checks, inspect its current assignment instead of changing unrelated information to force it into a bag.
Steps
- Open the roadmap stage offered to your role and filter the work before selecting orders. Verify that the physical parcels match the selected barcodes.
- Choose Create roadmap and select the intended delivery transporter in the assignment dialog. Review the selected count before confirming.
- After a successful creation, check the new roadmap reference and the order records. The creation action assigns the selected transporter and moves the orders into delivery when the operation is accepted.
- The application prepares a roadmap download after success. Review the document and parcel count with the transporter before the physical handover.
- Use the in-delivery list and its roadmap printing control to follow the assigned work or retrieve the document again when available. Keep the roadmap reference in any conversation about a missing parcel.
Good to know
If the download fails after the creation succeeds, first inspect the order and roadmap state. Do not create a second roadmap simply to retry printing. A roadmap is an order-level delivery handover, while a logistics transfer moves bags between locations.
